What is Shadow Day?
A Shadow Day is a chance for a potential student interested in our school to experience student life at CCS by shadowing a current student.
During a Shadow Day students might participate in a number of activities, depending on the day they visit, including:
- Regular Classes
- Chapel
- Assembly
- Special Projects
- Lunch
Who can I Shadow?
If you know a current student and you would like to shadow them please inform the Admissions Office when you call for an appointment. Otherwise, you will be paired with one of the student ambassadors who has similar interests as you.
What time should I arrive and where should I go?
Shadows report to the Main Office by 7:45 A.M. on the assigned day. Shadows can enter the building though the Main Entrance from the front parking lot. CCS ambassadors will pick up their shadows by 8:05 A.M. School is dismissed at 3:00 p.m. and shadows can be picked up in the Main Office after that time. It is possible to schedule a 1/2 day experience, just let the office know and you will stay until lunch ( lunch times vary by grade so the office will let you know the end time).
What do I do for lunch?
If it is a hot lunch day you will be provided a free lunch. If it is a day we are not serving lunch then you will need to bring your own.
When can I Shadow?
Please call one week in advance to schedule your Shadow Day. Contact Kathy at (303) 452-7514. Calling ahead is important as space is often limited. No shadowing is allowed prior to or during exam weeks. We look forward to seeing you!
